When will Canopy White Center be open? Canopy opened in October 2025, and residents have already begun to move in.
What kinds of information is assessed on rental applications? Income, rental history, credit history, household size, student status, and additional requirements as needed.
How much are rents? Canopy is affordable housing, and rents vary from apartment to apartment. That's because rent is based on three main things: 1. The size of the apartment you're applying for 2. The number of people in your household 3. The total income your household makes To help you understand what you may qualify for, visit the Income Eligibility page.
Are pets allowed? Pets and service animals are welcome. There are no breed restrictions; however, there is a two pet per household limit. There is a $300 deposit per pet.
Is there parking? Yes, there will be limited free parking and EV chargers. Contact us to learn more about the details and tell us about your needs.
Are utilities included in rent? Residents will be responsible for paying for electricity, water and sewer utility charges. All common building utilities are paid by Community Roots Housing.
Are there restrictions on full-time students? Yes, there are restrictions on full-time students. However, there are exceptions. Contact leasinginfo@communityrootshousing.org or call 206-895-1400 to ask questions about student restrictions and exemptions.
